The Medicare SilverSneakers Program
Even when you’re at your advance age, some Medicare Advantage Plans and some Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans (Medigap) don’t just care for your health but also your fitness. That is why beneficiaries can enroll to the SilverSneakers fitness program to help you maintain that healthy level as you get older. Trained instructors will help you get you started in participating in physical activity and overcome your fears if you have never been in a fitness facility all throughout your life.
Many adults aged 65 or older can spend much of their time sitting or lying down and enjoying a sedentary lifestyle. That inactivity can lead to higher rates of falls, heart disease, obesity, and early death. It is important that you remain active even as you get older to maintain that independence and healthy well-being.
The Silver Sneakers Program works to improve your overall fitness, strength, and well-being. It is available at over 15,000 health care facilities located all over the United States.
