The Annual Enrollment Period
for Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans and Medicare Advantage Plans is
October 15 to December 7th of every year.
Your new plan effective date is January 1 of the following year

Please watch this video:

Please keep in mind the following:
1. We do NOT represent all the drug plans in the country. If you’d like to see all the plans in your area, please go to http://MedicareQuick.com/Drug

2. You must CLICK on the Prescription Drugs tab, otherwise it defaults to Medicare Advantage.  If you enroll in Medicare Advantage you are disenrolling from original Medicare. (See video above)

3. Your plan should start on January 1 if you are signing up during the AEP period (October 15 – December 7). During other periods (special election periods) your plan can generally start the 1st of the next month.

4. If you are on a Medicare Advantage plan, and sign up for a Part D plan, you will be dis-enrolled from your Medicare Advantage Plan.  You should not enroll in a Drug plan until you have written approval for your new Medicare Supplement Plan (Medigap).  This will come in the form of your ID card or ID number for the new plan.
